According to Fabrizio Romano, PSV Eindhoven and RB Leipzig have agreed on a loan deal for Lutsharel Geertruida, with negotiations underway to include a buy option.

PSV Eindhoven is getting closer to securing the loan of Lutsharel Geertruida, a 26-year-old right-back from the Netherlands currently playing for RB Leipzig. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that negotiations are advanced and the initial terms of the loan have been agreed upon.

Geertruida, whose market value is estimated at €20 million and whose contract with RB Leipzig runs until June 30, 2029, is shaping up to be an important addition for PSV as they look to strengthen their defense. His experience in the Bundesliga could be key for the Dutch side in their pursuit of titles.

Romano also mentions that while the agreement is in principle closed, PSV is working to include a buy option clause in the loan contract, allowing the club to acquire the player permanently after the season. Despite interest from other clubs like Real Sociedad and Everton, PSV appears to be in pole position to secure his services.

With negotiations advancing, the operation could be finalized in the coming days, marking a significant move for both Geertruida and PSV in their season.
