Nottingham Forest has intensified negotiations to acquire Ousmane Diomandé, a 22-year-old center-back from Sporting CP. According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, discussions are ongoing both between the clubs and with the player's camp, with a transfer fee reported to be around €40 million.
Diomandé, an international with Ivory Coast, has made a name for himself in the Portuguese league, where his market value stands at €42 million. His contract with Sporting runs until June 30, 2030, highlighting his importance to the Lisbon club.
The arrival of Diomandé at Nottingham Forest could provide a solid defensive option, especially for a team looking to establish itself in the Premier League.
