Manchester United advances in signing Carlos Baleba
According to David Ornstein, Manchester United is closing in on a deal to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion for £60M plus £5M in add-ons. Negotiations are ongoing.
Carlos Baleba, a 22-year-old defensive midfielder from Cameroon, currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion. His market value is €55 million and he is under contract until June 30, 2028.
Manchester United has made an offer of £60 million plus £5 million in add-ons. According to Ornstein, this is below Brighton's valuation, but negotiations are progressing.
Florian Plettenberg reports that Manchester United has reached a full agreement with Baleba on personal terms, but there is still no final agreement with Brighton. No green light for the medical check-up has been given.
