Chelsea is one step away from closing the signing of Morgan Rogers, a 23-year-old attacking midfielder, after reaching a verbal agreement with Aston Villa. The information was initially reported by David Ornstein, who confirmed that the £117 million offer has been accepted by the Birmingham club.

Rogers, who currently plays for Aston Villa, has a contract that runs until June 30, 2031, and his market value is €90 million. His versatility, being equally effective as a left winger and as an attacking midfielder, makes him a valuable addition for Chelsea, which is looking to strengthen its squad.
