Alessio Romagnoli to join Al Sadd after agreement with Lazio
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Alessio Romagnoli has signed for Al Sadd, with contracts arranged and medicals pending. Fabrizio Romano and Nicolò Schira also confirm the agreement.
Alessio Romagnoli, a 31-year-old central defender from Italy, will leave SS Lazio to join Al Sadd in Qatar. His market value is €6,000,000, and his contract with Lazio was set to expire on June 30, 2027.
The deal is finalized for a fee of €3.5 million, with Romagnoli signing a contract until 2029, earning €6 million per year plus bonuses. This signing represents a significant reinforcement for Al Sadd, aiming to strengthen their defense with an experienced player.
Gianluca Di Marzio was the first to report that contracts were ready and only medicals remained. Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that an agreement was reached, and Nicolò Schira added that paperwork is in process.
