Dominance without clarity

ADT held the ball 63% of the time, but this did not translate into effectiveness. Despite dominating possession, the home team only managed 12 shots, just 3 more than their rivals, who had 9. This reflects a sterile dominance, as they failed to capitalize on their opportunities.

Sport Huancayo, on the other hand, was more decisive. With an explosive start, they scored three goals in the first half, thanks to the standout player of the match, Hugo Ángeles, who opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Diego Carabano, with a penalty in the 26th minute, and Javier Sanguinetti, in the 35th, sealed a first half that left ADT without answers.

An unexpected ending

The second half showed a change in momentum. ADT, after the expulsion of Ricardo Salcedo from Sport Huancayo in the 85th minute, managed to score with an own goal by Ángel Zamudio in the 89th minute, but it was too late. The local team's pressure became evident in the final minutes, but they could not turn the score around.

This result leaves ADT in a complicated situation, with 22 points and in 17th place on the table, while Sport Huancayo, with 23 points, clings to the hope of advancing in the group stage.
