Sergi Altimira transferred from Real Betis to Sporting CP for €22M

The transfer of Sergi Altimira from Real Betis to Sporting CP has been officially confirmed. According to Nicolò Schira, the deal includes a total amount of €22 million.
Midfielder Sergi Altimira has been transferred from Real Betis to Sporting CP for a total of €22 million, as confirmed by several journalists, including Nicolò Schira and Fabrizio Romano. This deal was finalized after negotiations began with an initial verbal offer of €18 million plus €4 million in bonuses.
Altimira, who plays as a central midfielder, has been a key player for Real Betis Balompié. With a market value of €20 million and a contract that was set to expire on June 30, 2029, his departure represents a significant change for the Spanish club, which will need to find a suitable replacement in its squad.
The operation not only benefits Sporting CP, which strengthens its midfield with a young and talented player, but also allows Real Betis to generate considerable income that could be reinvested in the team. The deal is officially closed, and Altimira will sign a contract with Sporting CP until 2031.
In addition to Schira, Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the transfer, indicating that the agreement was sealed after initial negotiations. With this confirmation, Sporting CP secures a promising player who can contribute to the team's success in the coming seasons.
